TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN WUXI
 
Wuxi is filled with parks and nature sites. In fact it is renowned all over China for its park. Below you will find a small description of the most known ones.
  Ling Shan Buddha
18 km west of Wuxi near the city of Yixing. (The last stop of bus number 88 & 89)
Main attraction: The giant Buddha. Built in 1997, the statue is 88 meters in height and the tallest bronze Buddha in the world.

  Taihu Lake
Covering an area of 2,235 square km, the lake is the 3rd largest in China. Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Garden) is one of these. Extending into the lake like a turtle of frolicking in the water, the garden is famous also for the inscription on the cliff carved during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) by an anonymous traveler. Done in powerful strokes, it reads: “Embracing Wu and YueἿWu and Yue were ancient names for Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces). Other scenic spots at lakeside include Sanshan (Three Mountains), which look like giant torois swimming in the ripping lake. The vast lake rippling under the blue sky is dotted with tugboats and fishing junks.

  The Movie Sets
here are three movie sets:
ἿSTRONG>The Three Kingdoms Ἷ ( 三国囿, ἿSTRONG>The Water Margin City Ἷ ( 水浒囿, and ἿSTRONG>The Tang City Ἷ ( 唐城 ).
Main attraction: You will probably witness a movie being made, take a ride on a boat, horse, or even a camel, and definitely learn something about China's incomparable history and culture.

  NANCHANG TEMPLE MARKETS
Main attraction: The Nanchang Temple Markets are a lovely place to visit to both enjoy the cultural atmosphere as well as to do some shopping for souvenirs or fresh produce. There are often community events, such as fireworks, held here to celebrate holidays throughout the Chinese calendar. The market area is quite visible, especially at night. The area is easy to find at the south end of the main road, Zhongshan Lu ( 中山路) , across the ring road of Jiefang Nan Lu ( 解放南路 ). Open: Daily
